What is Reidsville, NC, known for?
Like many smaller North Carolina towns, Reidsville, NC, is known for tobacco and textiles. Those defunct businesses were the lifeblood of the town for more than a century. The American Tobacco Company established a tobacco processing plant in Reidsville in 1907, just as rolled cigarettes were becoming popular.
