What are the three sectors in Coast Guard District 13?
More than 3,000 Coast Guardsmen are deployed in District 13, which is divided into three sectors. Coast Guard Base Seattle is part of Sector Puget Sound, which includes seven other stations. At least nine Coast Guard Cutters are assigned to the sector. At the Seattle station, you find the sector headquarters, an Aids to Navigation Team, the Puget Sound Vessel Traffic Service department, and the Sound’s Marine Safety Office.
